Poppy Cox

Poppy Cox (She / Her) is a director and performer based in Berlin. She was the artistic director of ‘Bike Smut’, a touring film festival of erotic bicycle movies from 2011-2018. The program was created through annual submissions from a diverse group of artists and enthusiasts and were shared in nearly 30 countries. Since then, she has been commissioned by Erika Lust to direct two Xconfessions films, ‘Hirsute’ (2020) and ‘Forniphile’ (2022). Besides directing films, her current artistic practice is focused on participatory performance and theater Her first feature-length solo show ‘SLUT: A Love Story’ premiered at the Erotikafton Festival in Mälmo, SE in June 2022.
