Max Kutschenreuter

Max (He/Him) a passionate filmmaker & storyteller whose practise mostly occupies itself with questions of queerness, sensuality and intimacy. Working visually with media both documentary, fiction and experimental.

Within Sex School, Max started as director Poppy Sanchez’s Assistant Director, and from season 2 became the new line producer, assisting founder Anarella Martinez. With +/- 8 years of experience as a sex educator for the COC (The Dutch LGBTQ+ rights movement), he came to Sex School through his long standing friendship and professional collaborations with Poppy Sanchz.
Always attentive and super on point with his observations regarding acting, writing, set design, lighting etc., Max presence on set is that of a focused and patient problem solver. We love him!.

Keep a close eye on Max’s own projects as well! He is currently working on a fictional queer series about the importance of online dating to the LGBTQ+ community and works on an experimental film series with the working title ‘Tracing Skin’ about queer intimacy.
